wooden bear vs. steel deer, who wins?

Steel deer every time.
Okay, bears may have a more ferocious reputation than timid deer, but bears eat the same things deer eat (not meat), so the bear would not attack the deer unless provoked.
Mother animals protecting their young can be just as savage as human mothers protecting their babies. So, if either animal was protecting its food source for its young, you gotta believe the turf war would be nasty.
Given the claws and teeth on the (relatively soft) wooden bear, versus the agility and the mettle / metal of the deer, I agree with Mikkel: steel deer every time.
