poem of the moment
"a tree impossibility"
the crab apple tree at my house
displays itself in the front yard.
it is not a multi-armed giant,
lurking in an immense jungle
waiting to seize any object that moves.
nor is it a pillar
with intricate extensions
which hold back the clouds,
so they don't fall on our heads.
it's not a magical tree
that grows many flavored
chewy gumdrops from its limbs,
or mild mints for leaves.
however, the thought
that it might be
is what makes the tree
bloom every year.
(this poem written by a 17 year old b1-66er. the tree photo was shot by me today with the crab apple in late bloom.)
