There's an old 50s car that parks outside my apartment sometimes. I always know when it's arriving or departing because of the distinctive rumbling. The guy who owns the car has a dog who sits in the front seat and barks at my dog when we walk by.
The car is painted an odd matte black. There are red flames here and there, but they have no fiery look against that flat lack of color. When I first saw the car, I thought it was just a really dark primer until I saw the flames. I did wonder why anyone would paint their car like that.
